Men Are From Mars

So, today on our way to church I had one of those fun, pregnancy-homone-induced, little emotional meltdowns, where I felt like my entire body resembled a small whale. Specifically, I was complaining to Aaron about how I felt like my ankles were swollen and gigantic looking. Aaron takes a look at my ankles, and in his characteristically sensitive manner (note sarcasm) replies, "Well...do you have any longer dresses??" Fantastic. Thanks a bunch. I feel so much better about myself now.

So interesting that you felt that way today because I saw you in the hallway and thought,"Dang, how can she be that tiny when she is pregnant?!" I did have a twinge of jealousy. I mean, you are pregnant and you are still so much smaller than the rest of us who are not!
You really do look fabulous. Always beautiful!
But hey, I understand the hormones and having those days.

Ha thats too funny. Men are so insensitive to our emotions, especially about our weight when we are pregnant. I think you look amazing! And I saw you today and didnt even notice your ankles:) I just saw your cute little belly! I know how that feels though, pregnancy hormones at their best.

Oh goodness-men are so funny. They just want to fix the problem! I am sure you and you ankles look great. I remember being nine months pregnant-wearing Kurt's shirt out of necessity, some huge scrub pants and a breathe right strip. I don't know why I chose that moment to look at my honeymoon pictures. I started crying about how skinny I was in the pictures-including pics of the day we went to the zoo and I forgot to wear a bra and it didn't matter. Kurt was nice but also amazed at the difference and we then laughed our butts off(I wish). Love to you.

You mean he didn't say, "I'm so sorry for all the discomfort and pain you go through and sacrifices you make for our family. Just know that I'm here for you and love you and will give you a foot rub when we get home. That is after you finish the dinner I prepared for you and the nap you get to take while I watch the boys."? We love our husbands dearly but sometimes they just don't get it!
